PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KARTU KUARTET PADA MATERI ASAM BASA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 6 BANDA ACEH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media kartu kuartet pada materi Asam Basa untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas VII di SMPN 6 Banda Aceh. Media kartu kuartet dikembangkan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) yang memiliki 5 tahap perlakuan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Tahap analisis dilakukan berdasarkan angket analisis kebutuhan yang dibagikan kepada siswa sebelum melakukan penelitian. Dalam tahap desain, produk yang dihasilkan berupa media yaitu kartu kuartet tentang materi asam basa yang direvisi sebanyak 2 kali. Pada tahap pengembangan kartu yang sudah di desain kemudian dikembangkan lagi sesuai saran dosen pembimbing seperti warna, tulisan dan gambar. Dari masing-masing komponen didapatkan rata-rata persentase keseluruhan kelayakan untuk semua aspek sebesar 98,8%, yang menunjukkan sangat layak untuk digunakan berdasarkan kriteria penilaian. Pada tahapan implementasi dilakukannya validasi oleh validator ahli, dilakukannya uji coba untuk melihat kelayakan media yang telah dikembangkan. Tahap akhir adalah tahap evaluasi yaitu proses yang dilakukan untuk memberikan nilai terhadap program pembelajaran. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap media yang dikembangkan yaitu 94,20% dan 5,80% jawaban negatif dengan kategori “sangat baik”, hasil jawaban angket respon guru dengan persentase jawaban positif sebesar 100%. Aktivitas siswa setelah penggunaan media kartu kuartet sangat baik dengan rata-rata persentase 92,41% dan hasil skor penilaian motivasi siswa terhadap media kartu kuartet dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 85,71% dengan kategori sangat baik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kartu kuartet pada materi asam basa sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract
The objective of study was to develop media of quartet card in learning of acid and base in order to improve motivation and students’ learning activities in class of VII in SMPN 6 Banda Aceh. Media of quartet card was developed by using model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) and it has 5 stages which were analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The step of analysis was conducted by collecting questionnaire in order to understand the needs before doing the study. Then, the step of design was implemented by doing twice correction. Furthermore, the quartet card was developed by considering the advices of supervisor which is consist of colour, lettering and pictures. For all steps, it can be indicated that the percentage of appropriateness was 98.8% which covers all aspects. The step of implementation was started by doing of validation to the media of quartet card and trying in order to know the worthiness of media. The last of steps was evaluation which was conducted to evaluate the learning process. The students gave responses which were 94.20% of positive response and 5.80% of negative response. Then, responses of teachers were collected by doing of questionnaire which was 100% of positive responses. Besides that, students’ activities have been improved after using media of quartet card with a percentage of 92.41%. The improvement was not only to the activities, but also to the motivation with a percentage of 85.71% by category of very good. So it could be concluded that the media card quartet on acid base material is very feasible for use as a medium of learning.
