PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CONCEPTUAL UNDRSTANDING PROCEDURES (PROSEDUR PEMAHAMAN KONSEP) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PADA MATERI CAHAYA KELAS VIII DI SMPN 2 MONTASIK ACEH BESAR

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas guru dan siswa, keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures dalam pembelajaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VIII2 SMPN 2 Montasik dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep cahaya melalui penerapan model Prosedur Pemahaman Konsep. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan statistik deskriptif. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, tes dan angket yang ketiganya dianalisis menggunakan uji persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) penerapan penerapan model Prosedur Pemahaman Konsep dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari ketuntasan individual siklus 1 sebesar 72,22% dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 94,44%, dan ketuntasan klasikal siklus 1 sebesar 40%, siklus 2 sebesar 90%. (2) adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran, aktivitas guru yang dominan muncul pada penerapan model Prosedur Pemahaman Konsep selama siklus 1 sebesar 88%, dan siklus 2 sebesar 100%. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa yang paling dominan muncul pada penerapan model Prosedur Pemahaman Konsep selama siklus 1 sebesar 75%, dan siklus 2 sebesar 100%. (3) terjadinya peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dari kategori sedang menjadi sangat baik (4) respon siswa SMPN 2 Montasik terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan penerapan model Prosedur Pemahaman Konsep pada materi cahaya bersifat senang 100%, dan ingin model ini diterapkan pada pembelajaran lainnya, khususnya pembelajaran IPA sebesar 89%. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi cahaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this action reseach was to find out the result of student learning, teacher and student activities, teachers skills in managing the learning process, and student responses to the application of  Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII SMPN 2 Montasik with the number of 18 students. The objects of this research is the concept of light through the application of Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning models. Data collection instruments used in this research were observation sheets, tests and questionnaires that have been  analyzed using percentages analysis. Based on the data, results show (1) the application of Concept Training model application procedure can improve student achievement. It can be seen from the increase of  individual mastery from 72.22% in the first cycle to 94.44% in the second cycle, and the classical completeness of 40% in cycle 1, to 90% in cycle 2. (2) the activities held by teacher and students have been increased during the learning process, the teacher dominant activity on the application of model Conceptual Understanding Procedures for the first cycle was 88%, and the second cycle was 100%. While most dominant student activity on the application of this module Procedures during the first cycle was 75%, and the second cycle was 100%. (3) teacher skills in managing the learning process have been increased from satisfactory to very good. (4) The response of the students of SMPN 2 Montasik for teaching and learning using the model application procedure Concept Training on materials of light are 100% happy, and they want the implementation of this module on other subjects, especially in learning science by 89%. From this study, it can be concluded that the application of Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning models can improve students learning outcomes in the material of light.
