Evaluasi Neraca Massa dan Energi pada Unit Cement Mill No. 2 PT Solusi Bangun Andalas-Aceh
Abstract
The cement industry in Indonesia plays a crucial role in the development of the national economy and infrastructure. PT. Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) is one of the leading cement producers located in Lhoknga, Aceh Besar. This study aims to evaluate the mass and energy balance of cement mill No. 2 at PT. Solusi Bangun
Andalas, particularly in managing raw materials such as clinker, gypsum, and limestone in cement production. Data collection was conducted at the process office of PT. Solusi Bangun Andalas on July 21, 2023. The results of the study indicate that the operational system used is a closed-circuit system, with a separator yield of 90.32% and false air at 26%. The mass balance analysis shows that the produced cement reached 109,264 tons/hour, while the energy input was 308,329 Kcal/hour and the energy output was 418,433 Kcal/hour. The increase in heat output by 110,104 Kcal/hour raises concerns in evaluating the efficiency of the production process.
