Pengaruh Aplikasi Ekstrak N-Heksana Babadotan (Ageratum conyzoyides L.) terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Aktivitas Fisiologi Gulma Bayam Duri (Amaranthus spinosus L.)

Abstract


Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai dampak ekstrak n-heksana dari babadotan terhadap pertumbuhan dan aktivitas fisiologi gulma bayam duri (Amaranthus spinosus L.). Laboratorium Ilmu Gulma, Jurusan Agroteknologi, Kebun Percobaan 2 Pertanian, dan Ruang Analisis Sampel, Jurusan Kimia FMIPA, Universitas Syiah Kuala menjadi lokasi penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022 hingga April 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pola non faktorial dan 6 perlakuan berbeda antara lain K0 = Kontrol positif (herbisida 2, 4-D), K1 = Kontrol negatif (aquades), K2 = Konsentrasi ekstrak 5%, K3 = Konsentrasi ekstrak 10%, K4 = Konsentrasi ekstrak 15%, K5 = Konsentrasi ekstrak 20%. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali, sehingga total terdapat 18 unit percobaan, dengan masing-masing unit percobaan terdiri atas 5 pot, sehingga jumlah total unit percobaan adalah 90. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan aplikasi ekstrak babadotan n-heksana pada konsentrasi 15% menghasilkan pengaruh nyata dan tidak berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi 20% dan 2,4-D dalam kemampuannya membunuh gulma pada 7 Hari setelah Aplikasi (HSA). Ekstrak ini juga dapat menghambat pertumbuhan tinggi, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang akar, berat kering pucuk, berat kering akar, dan laju transpirasi gulma bayam duri. Hasil fitokimia ekstrak n-heksana babadotan meliputi berbagai bahan kimia metabolit sekunder, seperti alkaloid dan terpenoid.

Effect of Aplication Billygoat (Ageratum conyzoides L.) N-Hexane Extract on the Growth and Physiological Activity of Spiny Amaranth Weed (Amaranthus spinosus L.)

Abstract: 

This study is undertaken to investigate the effects of the n-hexane extract from babadotan on the growth and physiological activities of spiny amaranth weeds (Amaranthus spinosus L.). The research was conducted between December 2022 and April 2023, taking place at three different locations: the Weed Science Laboratory within the Department of Agrotechnology, Experimental Garden 2 within the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Sample Analysis Room within the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University. The experimental design utilized a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a non-factorial structure, incorporating six distinct treatments: K0 = Positive control (2,4-D herbicide), K1 = Negative control (aquades), K2 = 5% extract concentration, K3 = 10% extract concentration, K4 = 15% extract concentration, K5 = 20% extract concentration, and was replicated three times, resulting in 18 experimental units altogether. There were five pots in each experimental unit, making a total of 90 experimental units. According to the study's findings, 2,4-D and 15% n-hexane extract from babadotan did not significantly differ from one another in their ability to control weeds at 7 Days After Application (DAA). The 15% concentration produced the greatest results. Additionally, it reduced the height, leaf count, stem diameter, root length, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and transpiration rate of weeds called spiny amaranth. Phytochemical analysis of the n-hexane extract from babadotan revealed the presence of several secondary metabolites, including alkaloids and terpenoids.
