Perbandingan Kinerja Berahi Sapi Aceh Pada Kondisi Suhu Lingkungan Yang Berbeda

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan kinerja berahi sapi aceh pada kondisi suhu lingkungan yang berbeda. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 20 ekor sapi betina dengan status tidak bunting, minimal 2 bulan pasca partus, sudah pernah beranak, dan sehat secara klinis. Penelitian dimulai pada bulan Mei-Desember 2014. Penelitian dibagi atas 2 kelompok perlakuan yakni K1 (eksperimen yang dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni) dan K2 (eksperimen yang dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember). Seluruh sapi pada kedua kelompok perlakuan disinkronisasi berahi dua kali menggunakan PGF2α sebanyak 5 mg/ml secara intramuskular dengan interval 11 hari. Pengamatan berahi setelah sinkronisasi terakhir dilakukan 3 kali sehari secara visual yakni pada jam 08.00, 12.00 dan 16.00 WIB. Pengamatan kinerja berahi meliputi intensitas, onset, dan durasi berahi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas; onset; dan durasi berahi pada K1 vs K2 masing-masing adalah 4,4±1,07 vs 4,3±1,16; 30,8±19,78 vs 31,6±23,05 jam, dan 32,0±31,49 vs 28,0±23,01 jam. Disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan suhu lingkungan tidak memengaruhi intensitas, onset, dan durasi berahi sapi aceh (P>0,05).

ABSTRACT 

This study aims to compare the estrous performance of aceh cattle under different environmental temperature conditions. In this study, 20 cows were used with non-pregnant status, at least 2 months postpartum, had already given birth, and were clinically healthy. The study began in May-December 2014. The study was divided into 2 treatment groups namely K1 (experiments conducted in May-June) and K2 (experiments conducted in November-December). All cows in both treatment groups were synchronized using PGF2α twice with dose 5 mg/ml intramuscularly with an interval of 11 days. Observation of heat after the last synchronization was carried out three times a day visually at 08.00 a.m, 12.00 and 16.00 p.m. Observations of estrus performance include intensity, onset, and duration of estrus. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test. The results of the research show that the intensity; onset; and duration of estrus on K1 vs K2 were 4.4±1.07 vs 4.3±1.16 respectively; 30.8 ± 19.78 vs 31.6 ± 23.05 hours, and 32.0 ± 31.49 vs 28.0 ± 23.01 hours. It was concluded that the difference in ambient temperature did not affect the intensity, onset, and duration of estrus in aceh cattle (P>0.05).
