Abstract


ABSTRAK 

Penelitian ini berjudul “Komunikasi Informal Pimpinan dalam Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Pegawai pada Bidang Bina Ideologi, Wawasan Kebangsaan, dan Karakter Bangsa (Studi pada Kantor Kesbangpol Aceh)”. Tujuan penelitian ini  untuk mengetahui kewajiban pimpinan melalui komunikasi informal dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan pegawai serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menghambat komunikasi informal pimpinan dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan pegawai pada Bidang Bina Ideologi, wawasan Kebangsaan, dan Karakter Bangsa Badan Kesbangpol Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Teori Motivasi Prestasi menjelaskan suatu keinginan yang ada dalam diri seseorang serta mendorong orang tersebut untuk berusaha mencapai suatu standar atau ukuran keunggulan dengan komponen dasar Need for achievement, Need for affiliation, dan Need for Power. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi informal pimpinan Bidang Bina Ideologi, Wawasan Kebangsaan, dan Karakter Bangsa Badan Kesbangpol Aceh belum maksimal sehingga belum mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan pegawai. Faktor penghambat komunikasi informal yaitu stratifikasi, respons, dan kurangnya pemberian motivasi.

Informal Communication of Leadership in Improving Employee Discipline at the Division of Fostering Ideology, National Insight and National Character (Study at the Aceh Kesbangpol Agency Office)

ABSTRACT 

This research is entitled “Informal Communication of Leadership in Improving Employee Discipline at the Division of Fostering Ideology, National Insight and National Character (Study at the Aceh Kesbangpol Agency Office)”. The purpose of this study is to determine the obligations of leaders through informal communication in improving employee discipline and to find out the factors that hinder the informal communication of leaders in improving employee discipline in the Division of Fostering Ideology, Nationality insight, and National Character of the Aceh Kesbangpol. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection methods used in the study were semi-structured interviews and observation. Achievement Motivation Theory explains a desire in a person and encourages them to try to achieve a standard or measure of excellence with the basic components of Need for achievement, Need for affiliation, and Need for Power. The results of this study indicated that the informal communication of the leaders of the Division of Fostering Ideology, Nationalism Insights, and National Characteristics of the Aceh Kesbangpol Agency has not been maximized so that it has not been able to improve employee discipline. Inhibiting factors for informal communication are stratification, response, and lack of motivation.
