The Influence of Compulsive Buying Behavior on Consumer Satisfaction Which is Mediated by A Materialistic View of Life

Abstract


This research uses quantitative methods which aim to determine the influence of compulsive buying behavior on consumer satisfaction, the influence of a materialistic view of life on compulsive buying behavior, and the mediation of a materialistic view of life on consumer satisfaction. The data analysis technique is carried out by collecting data, interpreting the data, and arriving at the appearance of the results. The data used in this research uses the SMART (PLS) method, which is then processed using statistical models and testing correlational hypotheses. The population of this research was laptop purchases and the sample for this research was 100 respondents.

Based on the research results show; (1) Trust has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction, (2) Product quality has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, (3) Trust has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, (4) Purchasing behavior has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction, (5) Compulsive purchasing behavior plays a role in mediating product quality on consumer satisfaction, and (6) Consumer satisfaction plays a mediating role by a materialistic view of life.

There is Consumer Behavior (Y), Consumer Satisfaction (X) in considering the service a consumer will look for a positive assessment that will be obtained by the consumer. Consumer Satisfaction (X) and Consumer Behavior (Y) is a form of appreciation for someone after receiving or doing something according to their wishes, which is called consumer satisfaction. So it can be concluded that in purchasing decisions it can be said to be used or acceptable to measure the variables studied.
