Perbandingan Fragmentasi Peledakan dengan Menggunakan Metode Manual dan Image Analysis di PT Semen Padang (Persero) Tbk, Bukit Karang Putih, Indarung, Sumatera Barat

Abstract


PT Semen Padang is a cement plant which has a limestone quarry as the main ingredient which is located in Bukit Karang Putih , Indarung, District Lubuk Kilangan, the city of Padang, West Sumatra province. It is located about 15 km East of the city of Padang. This study calculates the value of the fragmentation of rock blasting results using manual methods and Split Desktop method by delineating the photo of rock muck pile. Sampling of rock photos is done randomly in condition that the photo can be representative of the entire fragment result of the blasting. The results of this study concludes that the manual calculation method is more accurate than Split Desktop . The calculation result of rock fragmentation with manual and Split Desktop methods shows significant difference of the value as seen in blasting dated July 20, 2016 in Front 2 which has the smallest value and blasting dated July 28, 2016 in Front 2 which has a largest value comparatively. This is caused Split Desktop uses many digitized image that still needs to be corrected to get the actual size for calculation. From the calculation using predictive Kuz-Ram fragmentation distribution, results obtained using the proposed RL-Ash geometry design is better than the company planned geometry design with proportion of fragmentation with 30 cm size or more is 7.2% for the proposed geometry and 15% for the company planned geometry. The geometry design proposed uses 5 m burden, 7.5 m spacing, with blast hole length of 13.5 m, and 9 meter depth powder column with stuffed explosives of 14.986 kg / m.
