Penerapan Arsitektur Ekspresionisme pada Perancangan Institut Seni dan Budaya Indonesia di Aceh Besar

Abstract

The design of the Institute of Arts with the concept of expressionism architecture is an effort in creating a forum for art lovers by presenting better and more modern facilities. The presence of an art and culture institute in Aceh is a government effort, especially the Aceh Besar government, which has provided a 30 ha area for the construction of the Aceh Institute of Art and Culture. At present the arts and culture education institutions in Aceh are still far from expectations, so that a higher education level facility is needed which accommodates all activities of students who have interests and talents in the arts and culture. The application of expressionism architecture at the Indonesian Institute of Art and Culture in Aceh is demonstrated through freedom in expressing an expression to create a work of art in architecture. The embodiment of the design method used to obtain the results of the design of the Aceh Institute of Arts and Culture which can be reflected in the application of facades with the theme of expressionism architecture with the use of GRC material.
