PENERAPAN RUANG TERBUKA SEBAGAI KONSEP HIBRIDA PADA PERPUSTAKAAN DI BANDA ACEH

Abstract

The development of science and knowledge is inline with the development of technology. As a library is one of source of nation building, it has to has to move along the development of technologies as well. In Banda Aceh, the local government library has not fully employed new technologes in library design and management. In fact, new technologies can maximize the uses of library resources. Hybrid library is an alternative to application of new technologies in library design and management.

The hybrid library is a conventional library which is developed by digital collection and print collection development. A hybrid concept on design is also to combine two different functions: library as open space so that people can enjoy open space and also the library function. To desgin a hybrid library, this paper uses modern architecture theory becomes the reference to desgin a hybrid library in Banda Aceh. the hybrid library design in Banda Aceh
